HazMat Characterization

The QUIC Test^™ II HazMat Characterization Kit is utilized by emergency responders and clean-up contractors for rapid screening of unknown solid or liquid samples. Screeening includes extreme reactivity, self-reactivity, water reactivity/solubility, pH, multiple oxidation potentials, flammability, and select toxicity characteristics, including heavy metals and nerve agents. Test results complement and supplement information provided by other field screening instrumentation now available to emergency responders.

The Kit is housed in a rugged and durable case with all materials necessry to conduct several field screenings. Instructions are user-friendly and direct the user to classify all samples into a Tentative Shipping Name consistent with U.S. D.O.T. regulations. Most materials in the Kit have an extended shelf-life, making Kit maintenance simple and economical.
